Casper Pharma Expands Senior Management Team

(BUSINESSWIRE) – Casper Pharma, an emerging specialty brand pharmaceutical company, announced the following recent executive appointments for three senior roles.

Edward Neugeboren has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Mr. Neugeboren will be responsible for developing and executing overall corporate strategy as well as acquisitions.

Mr. Neugeboren has over 23 years of healthcare experience in investment banking, business development, portfolio management, corporate management and institutional equity research. Mr. Neugeboren was previously Co-Founder and Managing Partner at ArcLight Advisors, a healthcare investment banking and business development firm. Prior he was a Managing Director of Ledgemont Capital Group and was Managing Partner of Third Ridge Capital Management. Mr. Neugeboren was Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Equity Research Operations at Lehman Brothers. He was also Deputy Director of Equity Research at UBS. Mr. Neugeboren began his career as an equity research analyst covering the Specialty Pharmaceuticals industry, including Generic Drugs and Drug Delivery at Dillon, Read & Co., Kidder, Peabody & Co., and Furman, Selz Inc. He was a member of the top ranked Greenwich Associates Mid-Cap Pharmaceuticals Team. Mr. Neugeboren holds a BS in Economics from Union College.

Marco Polizzi was appointed Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations. In this role, Mr. Polizzi will oversee all commercial functions. Mr. Polizzi will also play an integral role in sales and marketing as well as market and product portfolio considerations.

Mr. Polizzi was former Head of Sales and Marketing, Institutional at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals responsible for leading Sales and Marketing within the Institutional and Specialty Markets, representing nearly $1B in Sales. Prior to Sandoz, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for JHP Pharma, where he led commercial operations and contributed to the sale of this private equity held business to Par Pharmaceuticals (now owned by Endo Pharmaceuticals). Mr. Polizzi also started the Specialty Brand Division of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and led the business for 8 years. Mr. Polizzi has also served in senior management roles at HD Smith, as SVP Sales and Marketing, and at Express Scripts, as VP Sales. Mr. Polizzi holds a Masters in Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelors in Business from Missouri State University.

Ira Baeringer, also currently serving in an executive role with Citron Pharma LLC, was appointed Executive Vice President, Business Development. In this role, Mr. Baeringer will oversee all business development with a specific focus on product licensing and acquisitions. Mr. Baeringer will also play an integral role in market and product portfolio considerations.

In his role at Citron Pharma, Mr. Baeringer is responsible for Business Development as well as Pricing and Contracting functions for that generic pharmaceutical business. Prior to Citron Pharma, he was CEO for Axcentria Pharmaceuticals, a specialty healthcare and consumer products company. Mr. Baeringer, a 26 year veteran in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and business development, has also held management roles at notable companies such as Intellipharmaceutics, Sanofi and Sandoz. Mr. Baeringer holds a BA from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Colorado State University.
